Dr. Gillian Kernaghan
Dr. Kernaghan was appointed President & Chief Executive Officer of St. Joseph’s Health Care London in October, 2010. Between 2006 and 2010, she held the position of integrated Vice-President, Medical Education and Medical Affairs for both St. Joseph’s Health Care London and London Health Sciences Centre. Prior to 2006, Dr. Kernaghan held the same role for St. Joseph’s Health Care, London. Between 1993 and 1997, she was Vice-President, Medical Services at Parkwood Hospital. Dr. Kernaghan is an Associate Professor at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at Western University and an Adjunct Professor at the Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing at Western University.
Dr. Kernaghan is the President of the Canadian Society of Physician Executives from 2010-2012 and a past Board Member of CaRMS. She is the Co-Chair of the Canadian Health Leadership Network (CHLNet). She has served on numerous provincial and national committees. She is also a faculty member of the Physician Manager Institute of Canadian Medical Association and is a Canadian Certified Physician Executive. In May 2015, Dr. Kernaghan received the YMCA Women of Excellence Award in the Health, Science and Technology. Dr. Kernaghan currently services as a member of the Executive Committee and Cabinet of the Foundation.
