There is no better imaging tool than MR to understand some of the most complex health dilemmas involving the brain, spine, joints, organs or soft tissues.  It provides a unique view of the body, pinpointing disease at its earliest stage.  With MR images in hand, physicians can quickly and effectively develop treatment plans for patients.

In breast imaging, the MRI is now considered the most sensitive tool for the detection of breast cancer. It is used for high-risk, young women and for those with more complex medical issues.

Londoners have faced one of the longest wait times in the country for this important diagnostic test. A new Magnetic Resonance Imaging machine at St. Joseph’s will reduce wait times for patients and aid in a more effective diagnosis for more people who need it.

$3 million will complete the funding for the new MRI machine at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
