The Radiolography/Fluoroscan Unit
$1 million in donations received in support of the new Radiolography/Fluoroscan Unit.
Thanks to the generosity of donors, a specialized x-ray unit was purchased for use in Diagnostic Imaging at Parkwood Hospital. The equipment will benefit veterans; patients recovering from stroke, spinal cord injury, hip and knee replacements, acquired brain injuries; and those patients in Geriatric and Complex Care.
Our sincere thanks to the many donors who have made this possible.
The new radiolography/fluoroscan unit is used to perform general x-ray services as well as complex procedures such as the Modified Brain Swallow. This test is performed with patients who have swallowing difficulties due to stroke and health issues. |
