A kind word, a reassuring hand and a caring heart – these are actions that define the care at St. Joseph’s. We hear it and see it everyday – caregivers who through their thoughtful, compassionate and giving approach ensure patients and their families at St. Joseph’s receive care that encompasses body, mind and spirit. Compassion is so ingrained into the work at St. Joseph’s, it is delivered without reservation; however, it is often this spirit that lifts a patient’s heart and comforts a family member.

Now, through St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation’s Give Thanks program, patients can say Thank You with a donation in support of their caregiver or care giving team and at the same time enhance the delivery of care for others. And each time a donation is made honouring a caregiver, the honoree will receive a small heart pin to wear which reminds them just how much they are appreciated.
