About the Annual Tribute Dinner
One of St. Joseph’s signature events, featuring an evening of entertainment – and tribute to a special individual or group whose philanthropy and volunteerism have made life better for those served by St. Joseph’s. Proceeds support patient care, teaching a research at St. Joseph’s Health Care, London.

St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation was pleased to partner once again with the Canadian Mental Health Association to present the second annual Breakfast of Champions on May 6, 2008. More than 650 attended guests the event and heard this year’s speaker CBC radio host Shelagh Rogers, and her personal story of her struggles with clinical depression. Her moving presentation brought hope and awareness to others and emphasized the importance of seeking help.
The breakfast also featured the Champion of Mental Health Award, which honours a person or organization for providing exceptional care within the field of mental health.
This year’s winner was mindyourmind.ca.

The Parkwood Hospital Charity Golf Classic is an annual fundraising initiative hosting community and business leaders, physicians and hospital representatives from London and across Southwestern Ontario.
Proceeds from the sold-out tournament totaled more than $50,000, and will support the world-class programs and services that directly enhance the lives of patients and residents at Parkwood hospital, a part of St. Joseph’s Health Care, London.

The Imagine Gala: Honouring Mothers, Honouring Daughters
Imagine
...a world where breast cancer no longer claims lives.
...having the power to help turn that dream into reality.
More than 400 mothers, daughters and guests celebrated the courage of women who have faced breast cancer and the courage of their daughters who may face an uncertain future – all in support of a new MRI for St. Joseph’s Health Care, London. Special guest Libby Znaimer, Canadian broadcaster, author, and breast cancer survivor shared her personal story with the disease, and Londoner Deb Parr Nash also spoke about her battle with breast cancer and the care she received at St. Joseph’s.
Gift announcements made at the event totaled $375,000 and put St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation that much closer to achieving its $3- million fundraising goal for the additional MRI with breast imaging capabilities.

Our next signature Speaker Series Event will happen in 2009, but planning has already started!
The Signature Speaker Series is a unique initiative designed to reinforce public understanding of St. Joseph’s new and evolving role with in the Canadian health care community. This event attracts leading Canadian philanthropists, national and regional corporate, community and health care leaders.
The inaugural Signature Speaker Series event was held on May 31 of 2007. Entitled “An Evening with Al Gore” the night was a resounding success. Former US Vice President Al Gore captivated a sold-out crowd with his climate change presentation.
